Who

Denise and Paul Grothouse founded Grothouse, Inc. in 2004 with a vision of continuing the legacy of woodworkers, and providing clients with the highest quality wood surfaces in the world.Today, our team of tenured engineers and master craftsman combine centuries old tradition with technology.

What

In the beginning, Grothouse was a small company offering custom-sawn lumber. We began crafting small butcher blocks with the wood remnants. The demand for custom butcher blocks soon outpaced our sawing capacity and we devoted ourselves to crafting custom solid wood surfaces. Custom wood countertops, butcher blocks and bar tops are now hand crafted daily of the finest quality wood and impeccably finished.  We pride ourselves on our unwavering commitment to quality and customer service.

    

Where

Our handcrafted pieces are all created in the rural farmlands of Germansville, PA. At Grothouse,we have a passionate respect for the environment and we use our scraps for heating and producing one-third of our electrical power using the solar panels shown in the building above. The 80 truckloads of sawdust produced each year are donated to local livestock farmers for use as animal bedding. This beautiful property is our inspiration for Eco-friendly living.
